A Town Called Umbra

Review

A Town Called Umbra is a wild fantasy ride that takes place in a dusty ghost town in the Wild West. The townspeople of Umbra have lost their shadows to a crooked salesman and it becomes a cowboy’s quest to retrieve what’s been stolen. Following the hero, Orpheus, the audience is taken on a journey through another world in search of the missing shadows. This 60-minute action show is quirky and slightly juvenile at times, but the four-person cast really sells the setting and time period. The show is good for a few laughs and makes use of light-hearted, slapstick comedy.  A Town Called Umbra is great for younger audiences as there is no adult content and the fantasy plot tends to a more junior audience.  – Janelle Escott

A very creative story with laughs and great characters. The likeable villian Nick engaged with the audience and delivered my favorite Fringe performance. Highly recommend!
