Aim for the Heart

Review

Randy Rutherford beautifully crafts an intimate portrayal of life and love that serves as a strong meditation on the human condition. Aim for the Heart is a profoundly passionate and highly lyrical musical memoir which offers viewers a deep and profound look at relationships and what it means to love unconditionally. Rutherford inspires audiences with his honest portrayal of damage, PTSD, and the painful road one navigates in search for healing. Rutherford is charming, funny and a master storyteller as he navigates difficult subject matter while opening his heart to the audience. Despite profound hearing loss, Rutherford sings beautifully and with power as he weaves stories from his long, rich and interesting life. Fans of Jackson Browne, Patti Smith and Simon and Garfunkel will love Rutherford’s revered tales and humane disposition. Reviewed by Levi Gogerla.
