Apocalypse Kow vs the Volcano 2

Review

Trapped on an island after a crew-ship wreck, and held hostage by an obsessive volcano, the acapella quintet Apocalypse Kow are forced to grudgingly entertain the volcano with their hilarious renditions of pop classics—until they are deemed free to leave. Apocalypse Kow is amazingly skilled at what they do and all members possess amazing voices and their own unique stage presence that fits perfectly. They are able to jump from Johnny Cash to Lorde to '80s hip-hop and still keep up. For some reason I kept expecting them to play a Lil' Pump song. I don’t know why. It would have been cool though. Anyways, these guys are great singers, entertaining as a group, and have great comedic timing. Great performance. Reviewed by Nicholas Hobson.

I’ve lost track of how many years I’ve been enjoying Kow performances at the Fringe, but their latest installment is their best yet! Great vocal performances ground a lighthearted struggle with a sentient volcano. Enjoy!

If you must be stuck on a mysterious island, it might as well be with these guys. A show to see if you want some laughs and also want some really fun music – we were dancing in our seats! I still can’t get those tunes outta my head!

Disappointed. Often they were out of tune. Bass singer was best though! Volcano story line was lame, they’d have been better off calling it a concert, not a play. Venue was a sweat shop! I pity the performers especially the one on the left, drenched!
