Die-Nasty in A Midsummer Night’s Fringe

Review

The lineup outside is full of long-time friends and fans. And the energy you feel when you take your seat? Well, it’s contagious. It’s time for Die-Nasty, an Edmonton Fringe classic. Every year the theme takes on a different, albeit expectedly strange theme. The playful jesting of the characters, though, is always familiar and it’s that camaraderie that its fans have come to love the most. This year’s Die Nasty is set in the magical Shakespearean world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Directed by Jeff Haslam, Mark Meer and other Rapid Fire favourites, Die-Nasty is as every bit of fun as you’ve been told. If you’re new to Edmonton or just haven't had the pleasure, make sure this show is on your must-watch list this fringe. If you’re one of those old familiar fans locking it down in the lineup, expect nothing short of hilarity. But hey, you probably already knew that. Reviewed by Kass Mitchell.
