Fool Muun Komming!

Review

There are very few places you could go to watch a grown man birthing himself out of an oversized garbage bag, so for that alone "Fool Muun Komming!" might be worth the ticket. The one-man show is like being on a wild acid trip where an alien, Fool Muun, introduces you to the inner workings of his mind. Sam Kruger plays the part of the overly friendly alien creepily well. His movement, dancing, and body contortions on stage are definitely otherworldly. Expect to be uncomfortable, expect to be confused, and expect the unexplainable. The show is not created for the masses, but those who appreciate a little chaos and a lot of weirdness will be sucked into Fool Munn’s elaborate daydreams of David Bowie and and Gandhi.  —Tamanna Khurana

captivating in a delightfully odd fashion
between all the cavorting and dorky multilingual wordplay, there is a real mastery on display, both of the stage and on a physical level
a tepid start quickly ramps up into good before becoming great as the scene shifts and shifts with a mix of grace and schizophrenia
mostly free from the ballast of plot without denying itself substance, Fool Muun succeeds as a lofty, fun experience
    4.5/5
Watch it? a resounding yes, though an act this kinetic and flighty is sure not to agree with everyone
Kruger spreads my bagel with a healthy amount of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Bullshit!
