Forget Me Not – The Alzheimer’s Whodunnit

Review

Rob Gee plays an entire dementia ward—nurses, patients, visitors, and the police—in this cheeky detective story. At the same time, he manages to shed light on the issues of Alzheimer’s and dementia without ever getting too emotionally heavy. Gee—a skillful actor—used to work as a registered nurse in acute psychiatry units back in the UK, and that’s where he finds the inspiration behind many of his characters. A few of the personalities could be a bit more distinct (a few of the nurses blended together), but otherwise Gee does a skillful job of keeping the audience on the edge of their seat for the entirety of the show, with bits of clever poetry snuck in.
