Harun

Review

Poignant and moving, “Harun” is a politically rapturing tale of immigration and integration, and whether the two should go hand-in-hand at all. This play is guaranteed to strike a chord between anyone who is socially adept in identity politics; but while the play’s subplot hinges on that, it’s the theme that will leave any audience member weak to its statement. While some plays find it hard to go beyond the four walls of one set, “Harun” uses choreographed exposition to transport the audience to a variety without confusion. With engaging sound and set design, among mature and emotive performances, “Harun” is masterful in its artistry. – Ryan Hook
