It’s all in the Kilt, and other Scottish Tales

Review

If you've ever wondered what a true Scotsman has under his kilt, Calum Lykan, the storytelling clansman and Viking, is happy to flip his kilt for you. This interactive performance is unscripted and requires audience participation for the full effect. Lykan has a wealth of knowledge in relation to Scottish history and folklore, but if a history lesson—and let's face it for Scotland it's basically all gory war stories- isn't what you're looking for then you'll likely want to skip this performance. What's impressive though, is his ability to recall information based on random questions from the audience. With the format of the performance, it won't do you any good to have expectations, keeping an open mind is your best bet for having an enjoyable experience. Oh, and having an interest in Scotland or love for Scottish accents helps too. Reviewed by Katie Robertson.
