Letters to West 113th

Review

Jeff Newman will cause the eyebrows of even to harshest of skeptics to shoot up in shock. Letters To West 113th is a one-man show that tells the story of Thomas Whitman, and is a performance of several feats that Harry Houdini would have witnessed on a trip to see Whitman. Newman's knack of 'knowing' demonstrates the invisible connection that binds people together—even perfect strangers. It's a performance that includes a lot of audience involvement (including sealed envelopes filled in by audience members before the show that Newman reads before opening) and tells a story of neverending love. If you want to be wowed, then this is the show for you. Simply put, Letters To West 113th is a fringe experience that can be best defined as awesome in the truest sense of the word.
