Life After Breath

Review

Life After Breath Two friends dealing with the passing of a friend come across a magic CD-ROM that takes them on a journey of love and acceptance in the afterlife. Set on the idea that that they can bring the lost back home, Squee and Nona, stumble around looking for their friend, and eventually realize that the only way to move on is to “just breathe.” The acting is an incredible—non-stop and high energy display that has the actresses taking zero breaks. They've mastered a cute, cartoonish language and bring the audience both joy and tears. This is all done through the innocent and unfiltered lens of accepting the passing of a loved one and continuing on with life as you know it. Reviewed by Nicholas Hobson.

Totally amazing. I laughed and was surprised to find I cried, too. These girls make clown palatable to wider audiences, too, which I’m super grateful for cause I don’t really know about that type of theatre.

WOW ! What an incredible evening watching these two ladies perform dressed as clowns and act so well, showing many emotions which make me laugh and feel sad when they feel sad.
They are so unique in their acting performance and so creative too.
    A must see!

This was a great show! I love how they took you into their world. This show will make you cry (but not me! I wasn’t crying!! You’re crying!!) It will also make you laugh. Great job!! I really enjoyed it.

The second showing of Life After Breath is so different than the first–in a GREAT way! The actresses have developed more of a sense of their characters since their first ever Nona and Squee Fringe show and can bring a sudden shock of grief to life as easily as their typical ad-libbed hijinks. (The set changes are also SUPER creative, no need for stagehands here!)

The two gals work so well together! They’re acting complements each other and they’re hilarious. It was so creative and brilliant. I would highly recommend this show to everybody!
