All Proceeds Go To:

Review

It’s difficult to know where the emotional bile of your social media feed ends and "All Proceeds Go To:" begins. An update on the seven deadly sins of Biblical fame, the play examines our modern condition and sin's latest fashions: excess, entitlement, plastic, apathy, self-righteousness, wealth, and you—yes, you and your ego, self-indulgence and empty attempts at self-help. Performed in a series of vignettes, "All Proceeds Go To:" is at times cringeworthy, insulting, brilliant, introspective, depressing, dramatically overwrought, and hilarious, with Alex Dawkins delivering a big, show-stealing performance. It’s the perfect play for anyone looking to laugh a little while loading up on existential dread.—Travis Grant
