Sandra, played by Gemma Wilcox, is in a tumultuous state. Not only is she dealing with her mother's death and being dumped by her longtime boyfriend, but she also has to come up with a slogan for Marmite—a spread favoured in the UK. Suddenly she's faced with an unexpected road trip that she feels obligated to take. Wilcox is a one-woman whirlwind as she portrays more than 20 human and non-human characters, including her steadfast travelling companions: a rickety old car complete with a Scottish accent and her overly hyper dog. Without the aid of a set, Wilcox still manages to create a vivid and engrossing story filled with seamless transitions, comedy and self-discovery.
