Missed Connections

Review

Missed Connections takes an interesting premise and does it well. The quartet of four experienced improvisers uses Craigslist’s ‘missed connections’ section and improvises scenes based off of them. They had a tech who was able to adjust music and lights to go along with the scenes. I laughed many times, especially when I watched them react to some of the directions from the person calling the scene. In one scene, Quinn, who had a very expressive face, pretended to be a French wait staff. In another, two women and one man all danced together and did a three-person kiss while pretending to fall in love at an electronic dance music festival. I think the audience enjoyed what they got, and these actors all played their part. Missed connections won’t change your life, but it was fun, and enthusiastic actors are always worth it.
