PIG

Review

With enough blood and gore to satisfy a Troma film fan, PIG is a brutally funny show about flying pigs, selfless love, and gruesome violence. After a young man named Jake tells his brother Sal he’ll only have time to play with him ‘when pigs fly,’ Sal creates a machine that can do just that—with unbelievable consequences for Sal’s debt-stricken town. While James Gladl’s sidesplitting comedy and spontaneous interactions with the audience steal the show, small technical errors and tripping over his lines prove to be equally funny but distracting. Overall, PIG is a wonderfully heartfelt and blood-soaked performance that can complete a great time at the fringe. Reviewed by Christ Berthelot.
