Shangri-La

Review

This play has a tight, fast script and Judy Wensel is a wonderful actress, throwing herself into her character, Jeanne. Growing up in small town in Saskatchewan in the 1960s, Jeanne introduces the audience to her neighbors and family, as well as the drama that comes with growing up in a place where everybody knows you and everybody talks about everybody else. A fun show with a killer soundtrack and enthusiastic dancing by Wensel in Jeanne’s very 1960s bedroom, Shangri-la is a pleasure to watch. —Bryan Saunders
