The Odd-yssey

Review

Right off the bat, it's clear this show is intended for children. You'll probably understand this after being forced to listen to a bunch of godawful kid-centric show tune jingles while the actors prepare the set. Anyways, The Odd-yssey features two bumblelord janitors, Rick and Flip, who accidentally set a course for Mars while cleaning a spaceship. Accompanying them is one sassy ship computer and a whole lot of distractions. For the adult audience, this show is comparable to watching a Treehouse TV program while babysitting your little cousin. There's toilet humour, gravity jokes, and pretty much all of the common space tropes. But the kids seemed to love it, which is the point I guess. One aspect this show does have going for it is the array of wonderful props the actors have at their disposal. Also Bowie's "Starman," is featured, so anyone with a soul should enjoy that. – Stephan Boissonneault

Great show! The kids and I loved it. My five year old couldn’t stop talking about all his favourite parts on the way home. The props and music are cleaverly done which add to the humour for the adults in the audience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to attend a show for the whole family.

Super clean great all ages family entertainment. The adults were laughing just as much as the kids, and it was a lot of laughter. Some great suspenseful moments and awesome use of props and physical comedy. Highly recommended for families!

This was a fun kid’s show for my 3 children (10, 8, 6). While not geared towards adults, my wife and I were entertained as well.
The Kung Fu scene was the highlight of the show for me and the whole audience found it hilarious.
I liked the music, the props and the family friendly inclusive atmosphere.
I highly recommend taking the kids for a fun afternoon!

An awesome show for families! As parent of “Flip” I maybe be biased but seriously … I thought the show played on ones own imagination and the use of puppetry and slow mo added to the space scenes and transported the audience into space. I like to watch audiences and the kids were engaged in the story. It was fun to hold my grandson and watch his little face mesmerized by the action and his Daddy!
