The Retro Den

Review

The Retro Den is an homage to the variety show genre – and it’s certainly a mixed bag. For those who grew up loving ‘70s variety shows, this act might have appeal. Otherwise, both the jokes and the songs tend to fall flat. Marleigh Rouault’s spectacular vocals save a few of the musical numbers, while the other actors often struggle to sing over what sounds like a karaoke track. That’s not to say the night didn’t have its moments, but overall, this variety show could have used a little more consistency. By Heather Magusin

Went with friends to see “The Retro Den”. Totally entertaining!
Loved the retro feel of the set! Enjoyed the choice of music!
The voices in the troupe were all different, each had their own
style and harmonized beautifully. Especially enjoyed the voices
of Bryan Evans and Marleigh Rouault! Fun evening for joining
voices as a sing-a-long! Highly recommend this show!
