The Secret Of Castle Alphabet

Review

Children’s play both inspires and delights the little ones. Presented by Heartbeat Theatre, this children’s play was very well written, was engaging with the children, and was even surprisingly funny. It’s the story of Mi, a girl who finds her way into a mythical castle and has to engage with the workers of the castle in order to do tasks to complete her quest. The result is finding the secret of Castle Alphabet. The lighting, prop-work and costumes were all very impressive as was the magical almost Harry Potter themed accompanying music. The children in the audience seemed to delight in the fact that the characters were actively engaging them and the show even had some educational direction meant for the kids. Overall, this children’s show is a must see for people with young children at this years festival. - Pierre Royal

SOCA was very well received by my almost five year old son. The cast threw a barrel of enthusiasm into the performance, and he was convinced that the housekeeper, chef, and story writer were played by three different actors. Bravo, heart beat. It must be an honour to bring such joy to childen.
