What’s The Deal: The Improv Show About Nothing

Review

Director Robyn Slack dubbed What’s The Deal as “the show about nothing,” but for fans of Seinfeld, the sitcom-inspired improv revives a style of awkward comedy missed by many. Diehard fans could be enticed to attend every night to watch the dead show come back to life in brand new storylines. Sue Goberdhan (mainly playing Krasinski), and Dallas Friesen (playing Joe) are definite standouts to watch. Goberdhan emulates her Kramer-inspired character to a tee, and sets up every scene for a guaranteed laugh, although sometimes through a fittingly cringeworthy pun. Be forgiving of a slow start as they get their feet under a storyline, but once the actors start to carry the audience’s ideas, you will be sucked into the episode. -Tamanna Khurana

The One Star review is a lie born of this terrible mobile device! I clicked and it auto-submitted when all I wanted was to scroll.

This show is fantastic and well-deserving of the reviewers’ four stars! I saw it initially in a preview and I intend to see it again during Fringe. The characters are standouts, whose motivations drive them to absurdities in true Seinfeld fashion. Even people who aren’t overly fond of the sitcom like me will find things to enjoy.

This is definitely one to check out.

SJW claptrap nonsense. Avoid at all costs.

I need chemotherapy after watching this show, because of how awful it was. What was especially painful was the blonde guy with the moustache, he was so cringey that I felt nauseous after the show.

Cancerous cringe that was more painful than having my fingernails ripped out. Waste of time, waste of money, and the blonde guy with the moustache should just quit performing. Full stop.

I’m a HUUUUUUUGGGGGE Seinfeld fan so I was so excited for this so it was a really big letdown. The Kramer character was pretty good but the rest of them didn’t seem up to the task. Avoid this one if you actually like Seinfeld and just watch an epiode instead.
